How Does It Work?
Once activated, the Ford Pro Trailer Hitch Assist system can sense the trailer’s position and the intended direction for backing up. It utilizes the rear camera and corner radars to measure distances between the hitch ball and trailer coupler from up to approximately 20 feet away. The system then assists with turning and reversing the truck, calculating the optimal path and maneuvering the vehicle to align the hitch accurately.
